Sign us up for the Ally Pally...Well not quite, but it was great to be a winner alongside Richard Stoddart at the Manchester darts championship. Of course I'm exaggerating. It was a healthy competition between friends and colleagues at the very new Black Cat Club (highly recommend) after a long day our Redmoor Health exec team had together in the city. I've known and worked with Richard for yonks and of course we made a great team 😁 We also play golf together, joined by Marc Schmid. In my case I use the term 'play golf' very loosely 😂 But why is it important to socialise with colleagues?😊 enhances teamwork, if we feel connected to our colleagues we're more cooperative and collaborative which can lead to us being more effective and efficient😎 it breaks down formal barriers and gives us a more relaxed environment to communicate more openly. 😊 it helps to build a network of supportive colleagues 🤔 it's an opportunity to share ideas and thoughts that might not be discussed in formal meetings or a business environment, helping us all to be more innovative😊 it can make the workplace more enjoyable, meaning we're more likely to feel engaged and positive about our role😊 you can make new friends for life - plenty of my ex-colleagues are full-time friendsA positive culture at an organisation is crucial.
