The National Television Awards, the most glamorous night in the TV calendar, is set to return this September with a star-studded event at The O2 London. The ceremony will be broadcast live on ITV and ITVX, with Joel Dommett, host of The Masked Singer, once again taking the reins. The brightest stars from across the TV industry will compete for one of the coveted awards.
In anticipation of the big night, the NTAs have unveiled their long-list of nominees and are calling on the public to help narrow down the potential winners ahead of the final round of public voting later this year. Among those leading the nominations this year are Liverpudlian Coleen Rooney of The Real Wagatha Story, Michelle Keegan of Fool Me Once and One Day actor Leo Woodall. Both will be vying for the Best Drama Performance award.

Michelle, 36, made waves earlier this year with her portrayal of Maya Stern in the gripping thriller based on a novel by American author Harlan Coben. The series quickly climbed to the top of the viewing charts within hours of its release and has been viewed nearly 100 million times worldwide at the time of writing. However, Michelle will face tough competition from fellow actor Leo, who won over audiences with his role as Dexter Mayhew in the Netflix limited series One Day, based on David Nicholls' popular novel.
The iconic soap Coronation Street is also in the running for an award. The drama category isn't the only one promising stiff competition. This year's nominees for Best Authored Documentary are equally formidable, with football legend David Beckham and Liverpudlian and 'Wagatha Christie' herself, Coleen Rooney, among those vying for the win.

David is nominated for his four-part Netflix series Beckham, which provides a unique and intimate look into his life away from the limelight with wife Victoria. The show covers everything from romance to family life, even revealing David's personal experiences with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Meanwhile, Coleen is up for an award for her Disney+ show, The Real Wagatha Story, which delves into her experience during the notorious 'Wagatha Christie' case against Rebekah Vardy. Intriguingly, Coleen will also compete with her husband Wayne in the same category this year, as he too has been nominated for his Prime Video documentary Rooney.
This year, viewers might also see a showdown between Time Lords in the Drama performance category as Doctor Who's David Tennant goes head to head with fellow Doctor Ncuti Gatwa in the fiercely contested category. However, they'll be up against some stiff competition from Mr Bates vs The Post Office stars Toby Jones and Monica Dolan, as well as Baby Reindeer leads Richard Gadd and Jessica Gunning.
One category that many fans will undoubtedly be watching closely is Best Presenter, which for the past 22 years has been dominated by TV icons Ant and Dec. Could Claudia Winkleman finally snatch victory from them after captivating audiences on Strictly Come Dancing, The Traitors and The Piano this year?
In total, there will be fifteen categories at the awards, with two more: Special Recognition and Impact, set to be announced on the night.
